Since forming in 2005, the Caterham, Chipstead and Coulsdon Dog Training Club now has many successful and long-term members who enjoy the classes and meet new friends. As well as the regular classes, the club also holds social events including a Christmas party and sponsored dog-walks for members and their dogs to enjoy. The club's dog training classes offer puppy obedience and adult dog obedience at various levels as well as competition obedience. The Good Citizen's Dog Scheme, Bronze to Gold levels are also popular classes with assessments held two to three times a year. Dog Trainer, Barbara Short, also holds a number of specialised workshops. Barbara said: "We held three workshops last year, one for agility, one for heelwork to music and one for competition obedience. They were a great success, so I have now introduced fun agility workshops every month at Hooley Village Hall which are very popular." Barbara is a member of The Kennel Club Accredited Instructor and Canine Behaviour Scheme and owns three border collies. She said: "We now have an outside area at our venue in Old Coulsdon so we will be introducing a 12 week starter's agility course from 14th May." To register for the starter's agility course or for more information on any of the other classes, call Barbara on 01883 347721 or 07713 711535 or visit www.cccwoof- training.co.uk |
