On Friday 6th June Cllr. Beverley Connolly performed one of her last official duties as Chairman of Tandridge District Council, when she opened a new florist called 'The Flower Pocket' at 26 High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill. The Grand Opening was a lively event, with local business owners mixing with press and friends of proprietor and Chief Florist Juliet Williams to share some bubbles. Beverley Connolly said: “I am delighted to be opening this new florist and am all in favour of encouraging new shops on the High Street. I can thoroughly recommend Juliet as a florist as she did the flowers for my Chairman's Ball recently and they were beautiful.” Juliet said: “We are delighted and excited to be starting this new venture in the lovely village of Caterham-on-the-Hill and look forward to providing a friendly and useful service to the people of Caterham. We hope to meet as many of our new neighbours as possible over the coming weeks. Whether it be a simple bouquet or gift, a regular arrangement, or flowers for a special event or a sad occasion, we would be glad to help. Please come in for a chat to discuss what you need.” Offering a wide range of flowers as blooms, bouquets, and arrangements, plus plants, gifts and cards, The Flower Pocket is not just a florist but a handy one-stop shop for that last-minute present. The website www.theflowerpocket. co.uk is also up and running. Here you can order flowers at the click of a button for collection or delivery. The Flower Pocket is offering a £5 discount on all bouquets over £20 to new customers until 31st August 2014. To redeem just present this article at the shop. |
