If you are looking for somewhere to go for a wonderfully relaxing Sunday lunch with food cooked by top class chefs then 'Chez Vous' is a perfect choice.

Situated in the heart of Warlingham, close to the Green, Chez Vous is Fine Dining without the London prices, and we can enjoy the experience right on our doorstep.

The Sunday lunch menu offers two courses plus coffee for £19.95 or three courses plus coffee for £24.95. There is a good selection for all three courses which our waitress described as "Sunday lunch with a twist!"

When I went to Chez Vous for Sunday lunch with my mother recently, we received a warm welcome and enjoyed delightful service throughout our meal.

Mum commented on the interesting selection of starters and mains on the menu, which the chef changes frequently. I chose the 'Salad de Pigeon aux Noisettes' (honey roasted pigeon, hazelnuts and French bean salad) and Mum chose the 'Fricassee de gambas au gingembre' (stir fried tiger prawns, pea and coriander samosa, mango and yellow pepper sauce). Both starters looked like a work of art and Mum said that she thought hers was probably the nicest starter she had ever had! She was particularly impressed with how beautifully soft the prawns were.

My pigeon was also very tender with a lovely flavour.

For our main courses I chose the 'Estouffade de venaison aux champignons' (venison, wild mushrooms and red wine casserole served with fresh tagliatelle) and Mum chose the 'Duo de porc à la moutarde d'estragon' (pork filet and belly served with a tarragon mustard sauce with caramelised onion mash). We ordered an extra vegetable - cauliflower cheese - to share, which was incredibly creamy and went well with both our mains.

Again the meat in both of our meals was beautifully tender and flavoursome.

With the soft music and lighting, the ambience was lovely and relaxing for a Sunday afternoon.

To finish we both had coffee with two miniature desserts, which was the perfect end to the meal. Chez Vous also does a lunchtime offer on Tuesdays to Saturdays - two lunch courses for £15. To book a table call 01883 620451.
