The Kestrels Children's Centre team celebrated their tenth anniversary recently with the Bugsy Malone theme - 'We could have been anything we wanted to be!' 108 people in 1920s costume attended the celebratory ball that was held on Friday 7th June at Woldingham Golf Club. The guests, made up of parents, staff and other professionals who support the centre, were greeted by a roving saxophonist and once in the hall a silent film (The General) was showing and cocktails were served. The highlight of the evening was when the Kestrels team performed a scene from Bugsy Malone and the guests were supplied with foam guns to ensure participation! During her speech, Centre Manager, Linda Smith said: "The nursery is at an all time high at the moment with over 100 families using us each and every day, and most of the newcomers come via word of mouth recommendations. Please join me in thanking my lovely staff team for their sheer hard work, commitment and loyalty." The Kestrels Children's Centre, based at Marden Lodge School in Caterham Valley, offers childcare and family support to families living in Caterham, Woldingham and Tatsfield.
