Theatre Exchange brings drama to the Caterham Festival |

Budding young thespians are being given the chance to sing, dance or act in a selection of drama workshops at de Stafford Sports Centre in Caterham this half term. The different workshops will cater for a variety of age groups from five to sixteen years old and will be run by professional actors during half term week (31stMay - 3rdJune) Children and young people can learn a variety of new skills, while having lots of fun. Spencer Wood of Theatre Exchange, Tandridge Leisure's theatre company, is leading a Physical Theatre and Mask Workshop, for 12-16 year-olds. He will be demonstrating how to work with masks and use movement to enhance, develop and create a performance or character. Enhance your acting skills on Tuesday 31st of May - the two hour workshop costs just £8.50 for Members and £9.50 for Non members. Younger ones can sing, dance and explore their way through 'This Is How A Dream Comes True' a musical theatre workshop inspired by Shrek the Musical, on the same day between 2-4pm. For fantasy fans aged 5-8 years, there is 'Where the Wild Things' are on Thursday 2nd June between 1-3pm. Theatre Exchange actors will take youngsters on a journey through their imagination, conjuring up a mystical land inhabited by ferocious wild beasts.
