The new homes, which are already fully occupied, were built through a £1.2m partnership between Tandridge District Council, Surrey County Council, the Homes & Communities Agency, Hyde Housing Group and Welmede. All the flats are accessible to people in wheelchairs and support is available to all residents so they can lead independent lives. Councillor Brain Perkins said: "The Council is proud to be involved in an initiative which will make such a positive impact to the lives of those that live there and their families for many years to come." Rhys Daniel, Development Director, Hyde Martlet, part of the Hyde Housing Group, said: "We are delighted to be part of this important development providing local homes for disabled people to live independently in the community. The homes have been built to meet their specialised needs." |
