On Thursday, 30th June the Rotary Clubs of Caterham and Caterham Harestone joined together to unveil a new plaque in Queen's Park, Caterham, to commemorate the 'Focus on the Crocus' campaign. The plaque is located alongside the putting green where Rotary members, with help from local schoolchildren, planted a crocus maze that came into bloom for the first time last spring. The 'Focus on the Crocus' campaign has been raising money to help eradicate polio worldwide over the next five years, and the purple colour of the crocuses matches the colour used to mark the children that have been vaccinated.

The maze has been sponsored by local businesses and individuals whose names have been recorded on the plaque.

Caterham Rotary Club member, Jonathan Mountain, who made the plaque said: "I am delighted the Rotary Maze Plaque is now on display, complete with its Table of Sponsors – a big 'thank you' to all including our principal sponsor, Linden Homes South East. We have now raised over £4,500 towards ending polio."
