Local singer/songwriter Steve Boyce has written a song entitled 'We Will Be Kings' for the Rugby World Cup which is well on its way to being the official anthem of the England Rugby Squad 2011. Steve has had huge success since he achieved wide recognition in 2008 when he won Absolute Radio's 'One Last Dream' competition. The 'Worldlink' sports scores website will be including the charity logo and song on all their promotional material and all profits from the record will go to the Rugby Football Union's Injured Players Fund (IPF). The song will be available to download as an ongoing money earner for the IPF through iTunes. Steve said "I have been delighted with the response so far. What would be the icing on the cake would be hearing the song being sung at the final of the competition. That would really boost the sales and therefore income to IPF so they can expand the excellent work that they are doing with seriously injured players at all levels. I will be happy with plenty of air-play and plenty of charitable donations." CEO of Worldlink, Neil Riches commented: 'We are so pleased to be part of creating and marketing a very good song that will be instrumental in helping finance this extremely worthy charity. We will work diligently alongside Steve and the IPF to promote the single and ensure we get a good response. This is a great way to launch Worldink sports services."
