The Banstead Woods Time Trials.

We've had another great year at Chaldon Creakers - our sixth - with some really fantastic performances at all levels, but the essence of what we do is to continue to be a group of like minded people who enjoy running together. During the summer months we made the most of the wonderful scenery around us in Chaldon, and we now have many routes of differing lengths to suit all runners. The pub runs are becoming the norm even in the winter months, with the Fox on Coulsdon Common being our natural home, although we do try to vary the routes as much as possible with runs in Chelsham, Bletchingley and Godstone this summer. The intention is to have a running group who drink a bit but some unkind comments have been received that we're becoming a drinking group who run a bit!! But it's good to stay behind and swap stories and just socialise. Just remember everything is optional except the running and it's free!

During the winter it's back to the roads, and we stick to well-lit routes based on de Stafford Leisure Centre in Burntwood Lane, Caterham, as a starting point. We like to welcome all runners and not everybody likes charging off into the darkness with a light fixed on their head! Please do come along and join us if you run at all and like some company, whether you're training for a big event or just enjoy running. For those injured or who prefer it we've now got an offshoot group who cycle on or off-road at the same time as the runners go out but arrive back just in time for a chat!
