Hannah Brooks (Crawley AC) from Caterham finished sixth in 2:05.05 in the 'On Camp with Kelly' 800m race at the Aviva London Grand Prix at Crystal Palace on Saturday 14th July. The race was won by Rowena Cole (Coventry Godiva Harriers) in 2:04.01.

Hannah has been a member of double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes' Aviva sponsored 'On Camp with Kelly' mentoring and education programme for talented young middle distance athletes since 2005.

Dame Kelly Holmes said: "It was a great race for all the girls to be involved in, very competitive. The pace was set nicely and all the girls had an objective, especially those who have had issues or injuries. The best thing is they have all come away smiling and some with personal bests."

Hannah said: "I am satisfied. I was hoping for a little more and the last 100 metres showed that I am missing a bit of quality 800m work. But I was close to my season's best and not far off my personal best. I love running at Crystal Palace, it's days like this when you just love racing so much."

Hannah now plans to race over 3000m in Luzern, Switzerland on 17 July.

Hannah's club mate Charlotte Best competed in the main 800m at the meeting and finished ninth in 2:05.20.
