On Saturday 25th May two of the actors from The Miller Centre Theatre Company appeared at Church Walk Shopping Centre to promote their latest play, a period piece set in Ireland called 'The Clearing'. Lucy Baker, who plays the lead role of Madeleine Preston, and Pamela Cuthill who plays her companion Killaine Farrell showed off their splendid costumes and answered questions from the public about the show. The play, a powerful drama charting the emotional journey of an English nobleman and his Irish wife during Oliver Cromwell's brutal repression of the Irish in the 1650's is on at The Miller Centre Theatre, Godstone Road, Caterham until Saturday 8th June. After the visit by the actors, Shelley Filippi, Church Walk Shopping Centre Manager said: "It was a lovely sunny day which really showed off the costumes and it was a great opportunity to meet and speak to the actors." Tickets to see 'The Clearing' cost £9 and are available from the Miller Centre Box Office on 01883 349850 or online at www.millercentretheatre.org. |
