250 pairs of little legs will be racing for life in the first ever Little Legs for Life event at Caterham School in Caterham on Sunday 6th June. The sponsored walk/run for children, was developed because of a child's desire to raise money for Cancer Research UK - this idea came from a child who had been touched by cancer and wanted to help. Jane Warner of Caterham-onthe- Hill, is working tirelessly with a Croydon team to ensure the Caterham Little Legs for Life is a fun and exciting day for the children whilst raising money and awareness for Cancer Research UK.
Jane said: "I know first hand how cancer can impact peoples lives. Children want to contribute to putting an end to the devastation this disease causes in a way that enables them to have fun and really feel they are making a difference."
Little Legs for Life is open to all children from all schools and areas, pre-school to 12 years. To register please email littlelegscaterham@ hotmail.co.uk or call Jane Warner on 07748 120615 for a registration form. Forms are also available from the Cancer Research UK shop in Caterham. All registered children will receive a Little Legs for Life t-shirt & medal.
