Sporting hero launches cricket fundraiser for St Catherine’s Hospice |

Pat Pocock. Sporting legend, Pat Pocock, is visiting St Catherine's Hospice shops to launch a brand new cricketing fundraiser. The former international England cricket player and holder of three world records in first class cricket, will visit St Catherine's Hospice's Caterham shop, 31 Croydon Road, CR3 6PA at 10.30am and the Oxted shop at 31 Station Road East, RH8 0BD, at 11.30am on Saturday 7th June to help launch Cricket for St Catherine's. Cricket for St Catherine's is a charity Twenty20 Cricket match organised by Tandridge friends of St Catherine's. It will offer the opportunity to enjoy the stunning Caterham School playing field and witness ex Surrey Cricket Club players facing off against a Caterham XI team. The event will take place at Caterham School, Harestone Valley Road, Caterham, Surrey, on Sunday 13th July. Gates open at 1.30pm and entry is free for accompanied under 11's. Julie Pescod, a member of Tandridge Friends of St Catherine’s who is organising Cricket for St Catherine's, said: "We're very grateful to Pat for helping us to launch our latest fundraising event for St Catherine’s Hospice. We're looking forward to raising lots of money for the hospice and having lots of cricketing fun at the same time.
