The Caterham Festival is opening this weekend with DeFest in the de Stafford School fields in Burtnwood Lane, Caterham, with music and fantastic entertainment. The weekend will feature top acts from across the country and offers a chance for local unsigned stars to shine and get recognition. The Festival's number one priority is to make this event an affordable day out, with tickets costing just £2 for under 18s and £3 for over 18s on Saturday and £3 for under 18s and £5 for over 18s on Sunday. On Saturday 24th May from 12pm-7pm see top local bands mixing it up with the young stars from de Stafford School, plus side attractions, rides, side stalls, candy floss, face painting and much more. There will be fantastic food for sale and a well stocked bar. On Sunday 25th May from 12pm-7pm there will be a rock and Roll, vintage theme where jiving is encouraged, flowery shirts and some of the country's top vintage bands, plus side stalls and a fantastic pole/Can Can performance. This day is well suited to Pimms, and deck chairs and sun cream are recommended! This year's sessions will be broadcast on Ridge Radio.
