Woldingham School is delighted with its A2 results this year. 87.5% (up from 84% in the previous year) of all grades achieved were at A*, A and B, with 53% of the grades at A* and A. Liesje Wilkinson, who achieved a stunning four A* grades in Economics, Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics, will be taking up her place to read Mathematics at Keble College, Oxford in October. This follows Liesje’s superb achievement at GCSE when she achieved 14 GCSEs at the highest grade. We are thrilled that Laura Connolly, Christy Lam and Katie Maule each achieved three A* grades too. With more than a third of the year group achieving three grade As or more, there is much to celebrate!
This year, for the first time, Woldingham entered five students for the Extended Project Qualification and we are delighted they achieved four A* grades and one A for their projects. In addition, all five girls who had offers at Oxford and Cambridge have achieved the grades required for entry in a wide range of subjects including Law and Architecture.
The L6th have much to celebrate too with 21 girls (about a quarter of the cohort) gaining at least four A grades at AS level. This is a stunning result for this year group who have achieved the best percentages of A and B grades in recent years.
The headmistress, Jayne Triffitt, said: "I am very proud of our A2 and AS level results this year. The girls have worked very hard indeed to gain such excellent results. I would like to pay tribute to the outstanding support the girls have received from their teachers and the pastoral team at this boarding and day school."
