Caterham area’s CR3 Forum, is working with Tandridge District Council on a major new survey seeking the opinions of Caterham businesses. Information from the survey will help several business and community projects, including the local Neighbourhood Plan and the community-led Town Centre Design Statement. .
The online survey, which opened on Friday 15 May, follows a similar poll of Caterham residents to find out what the community wants for the town’s future.
Chief Planning Officer for Tandridge, Piers Mason, said: “There was a terrific response to the community survey, with plenty of optimism and good ideas coming through. We’re hoping to replicate that success with the Business Survey. Economic prosperity and job creation in the District depend largely on the success of our local enterprises, so we’re making a concerted effort to ensure we have first-hand information to shape our thinking and planning. The Caterham Business Survey is an important part of this."
Local community forum, CR3, helped to develop the survey. Its spokesman, Chris Windridge, said: “We’re delighted to support the survey. Right now, there’s a lot of planning going on for Caterham’s future and we really need as much input from business as possible, so we’re urging all companies in the Caterham area to log on and have their say."
The survey is open to businesses in the Caterham area until Friday 12 June. Links to the survey can be found on the Business pages of the Tandridge District Council website or by going to: www.surveymonkey.com/r/caterham_business_survey
