St Catherine's Hospice is calling on schools across Sussex and Surrey to support their local hospice by taking part in an exciting enterprise challenge, the Five-O Project.
Designed to develop students business skills the Five-O Project challenges them to take on a Spring Term project and channel their inner entrepreneurs by putting on fundraising activities using an initial £50 investment. All funds raised from the project will then be used to support the vital end of life care St Catherine's provides to terminally ill people, and their family and friends, across the local community.
Participating schools are asked to put together a team of six students to create a business plan, events or ideas that will raise a minimum of £1,500. Sponsored by NatWest, each school that takes part in the Five-O Project will be allocated team mentors from NatWest. Mentors will provide support and guidance on student's business plans, offering a unique opportunity for students to gain invaluable insight and advice from business professionals whilst having fun.
John Redfern, Head of Corporate (South East) at NatWest said: "We're glad to support St Catherine's Five-O Project. The opportunity to help smart, enthusiastic and driven young people to raise money for St Catherine's, while preparing themselves for the working world, is invaluable and incredibly rewarding."
All the money students raise goes towards the £15,000 a day it costs St Catherine's to provide their specialised end of life care across their Inpatient Unit, Day Hospices and in the comfort of patient's own homes.
