They were joined by partners and guests for the event which was held at Park Wood Golf Club in Tatsfield on 24 October. Lion President, Lesley Day and her husband Malcolm welcomed guests which included Chairman of Tandridge District Council, Rose Thorn and her husband, Keith, Lions from other clubs and Multiple District Lioness Chairman Lioness Angela and her husband Allan. After a splendid meal, the wine continued to flow as the speeches were made. Lion President Lesley made the Loyal Toast and toasted Lions Clubs International. Lioness Angela Howard then talked about the good work of Lioness Clubs. Lion Vice President Maria Coyle made a toast to all the guests and Chairman Rose Thorn made the final speech, with several witticisms which added to the merry atmosphere. Lion David Annenberg was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award in recognition of the outstanding work he has done for the Club and the community.
