The Blacksmith's Arms in the High Street, Caterham-on-the-Hill ceased trading recently and has been robbed of its spirits, cash from the pool table and cigarette machines and other valuables. A local business owner commented: "I hope it is taken over again soon or something is done about its appearance. A boarded up building is not good for the other businesses along here. We don't want it to end up getting in a state like the Rose & Young building in the Valley."
