Innovators of the world's first pop up mall, Boxpark, have officially opened their first food and drink only development, Boxpark Croydon. The launch follows the weekend's hugely successful opening festival in partnership with Eskimo Dance and NME, which saw grime artists Jme, Section Boyz, Ghetts, Novelist and more play at the brand new development. Boxpark Croydon opens today with 34 incredible food traders from established operators to start ups of varying world cuisine and is open 7 days a week from 7am - 11pm Monday - Saturday and 8am - 10pm on Sundays. Now, it's business-as-usual for Boxpark Croydon as guests and locals flock inside to enjoy signature dishes from the likes of MEATliquor and The Breakfast Club, as well as full-flavoured vegan plates from, Shoreditch favourite, CookDaily. Croydon heavies Brgr&Beer have opened their second venture Wine&Deli at Boxpark. South Croydon's, Yumn Brasserie is also making Boxpark their second home and Cronx Brewery are on hand to delivery top quality beverages. Boxpark Croydon isn't just about the food and drink. Each week, they'll be playing host to a variety of innovative and exciting events featuring a selection of local talent, as well as big name artists and DJ's. Expect everything from festive celebrations, acoustic afternoons, top DJ's and a selection of workshops for people of all ages. Boxpark Croydon embodies their motto - Eat. Drink. Play. Boxpark Croydon is another important milestone for us in the regeneration of our borough – there’s so much happening here and we’ve got lots to be excited about.” Boxpark Croydon sits directly alongside East Croydon station, meaning that it's easily accessible for visitors coming in from London, the south coast and further afield. The site is also walking distance from West Croydon station where the overground line runs. Boxpark holds over thirty tenants on site in the iconic black, repurposed, shipping containers, spanning across two floors. The site also features its very own, fully stocked, bar - BoxBar; sponsored by Coors Light. The bar offers a selection of drinks from beers, ciders, mixers and signature cocktails and the 300 capacity bar space will also host regular events; some of them featuring Boxpark's resident DJ's. Overall, Boxpark Croydon has a massive 2000 capacity space - so expect big things. November's event calendar is already filling up. Boxpark brings Dubstep home to its Croydon roots on 3 November with the HERITAGE event, featuring Crazy D, Chef, N-Type and a secret special guest. From then on, there'll be top party vibes and chilled acoustic sessions from the likes of Amps & Decks, Love Cronx, Beats & Eats and Busk the Box! |
